Opening An Account &
Sales Terms
Walker's Auction Service accounts are simple to
open. All you need do is appear at the cashier station at the Walker's Auction Service
Auction Barn, present your driver's license, and you will be given a bid number that is
good for one year.
We accept cash, personal and business checks on approval, Visa
Card, and Master Card. If you plan on paying with a check please get approval before
bidding! Other than Visa and Master Card, Walker's does not extend any kind of credit. If
you are coming from out of state please be sure to make any necessary arrangements with us
prior to bidding.
Our auction barn is open so that you can inspect any items you
are interested in prior to the start of the auction. Please be sure to inspect completely
to your satisfaction any items you plan to bid on as all sales are final. You must pay in
full at the auction you attend. We do not deliver and we do not store items. Please be
sure to take your items with you when you leave. We do allow large items to stay on the
lot until Saturday or Monday to give you a chance to arrange for pick up.
About The Walker Family
Tommy Walker Senior began Walker's Auction service
in 1963. His sons, Tommy Jr., and Timmy, followed in his footsteps from their early teens.
The three Walkers hold Arkansas license numbers 338, 339, and 340. Tommy Walker senior is
the past president of the Arkansas Auctioneer's Association.
All of the Walker families are active in charities of the
community of Mountain Home, Arkansas. Each year they conduct fund raising auctions for the
German-American Partnership, the Special Olympics, and the Baxter County Fair cattle
auction.
The Walker's Auction Service staff is comprised of 10 employees
who are mostly Walker family members. Keeping the Service well organized and running
smoothly requires the teamwork of floor runners, auctioneers, cashiers, and snack bar
staff. Karen Walker, Tommy senior's wife, works in the office. Their daughter Tammy
teaches school in Mountain Home and works as a cashier on auction nights. Tommy Jr.'s sons
Justin, Bryan, and Tom work at the Auction Barn. The Walkers are all natives of Arkansas. |
